Anyone who truly knows me knows these two things...
1. I'm a night owl
2. I like to take a nap
I was born the daughter of a night owl. My mother has worked nights for as long as I can remember. She tried days once, to spend more time with her then school aged children, but she found herself working all day and unable to sleep at night. So she returned to nights.
I love the sound of a quiet house, and candles that burn (because a child hasn't blown them out). I love to sit outside at camp, enjoying the fire... in peace. I haven't been much into crafting lately, but many of my best creations were made in the very early morning hours. Late nights are also the perfect time for my 20 year old kitty to nest up on my lap... as the kids are forever wanting to suffocate her with their affection (this creates many problems in the Mellish household).
I want
this, and have added it to my wish list.... assuming that this very talented artist hasn't retired the design. I discovered Lisa Leonard and her beautiful jewelry designs via a Donna Downey newsletter announcing the newest Inspired artist.
After a late night, little is more satisfying than a cat nap, and it has provided Chloe and I with a formal opportunity to read.
Yesterday, in the early evening, I retreated to the tub, just as planned. What I had not planned on was FALLING ASLEEP. For an HOUR. How is that for Rose Petal Betty! Thank you, Jill!
